Boo Turns One!

I can't believe that our little Boo has turned one all ready. We have had the joy of having her for four months, and it seems in some ways like we have had her forever, and in others like we have had her only for a couple of weeks. Time goes too fast with little ones!
We had a Ladybug birthday party. There was a ladybug cake, and all kinds of red and black snacks. We had each person write a wish and attach it to a red balloon. The white balloon was a wish of peace and gratitude to those who brought Boo into this world. Words cannot express enough the feelings we have of their sacrifice and love which brought B. to our home. After the wishes we released the balloons with our hopes and wishes for a happy life for Boo. We played a bunch of ladybug songs, including my favorite "Miss Ladybug", which has earned Boo the new nickname of Hugabug, 'cause she laughs whenever we call her that. We opened presents, and the big kids made ladybug pins. Boo didn't like her cake much, as seen in the picture. I put a little in her mouth and she said "mmm!", but when I tried to get her hand into it to eat it herself she got very upset! Oh well, Gem was the same way. I guess my girls like to stay clean! It was a fun party and we are so glad that we were able to celebrate with so many loved ones.
Here is Miss B. at one: walks, climbs stairs, claps, waves, eats anything we put in her mouth (including pizza!); says "mama", "dada", "nana", "mmmm", "ohhh", "em", and even said "ampa"once; loves music of any kind; melts everyone she meets with her sweet smile and squeal!
We love you so much Boo, and are so glad that you are part of our family!

Love the pictures and comments! We're always so excited to check in and see all the fun activities everyone is involved in. Great B-day pictures and love the costumes for Halloween. Wish we could have seen the play. Would love to be closer and be part of all the festivities.
