Halloween

Halloween was very busy this year. We were able to go to my parents house to paint pumpkins. My dad grows his own in his farm, I mean backyard, so the kids were able to pick the ones they wanted. As you can see they are a creative bunch and chose very unique ones. In the end we ended up with a witch from Gem, a crow/Frankenstein from LM and a black cat from Boo. It was yet another fun night with the grandparents.

Since LM is off track, we decided to go to the library with all of Boo's little friends. It was a costume reading time, and since LM's costume didn't feel like a costume without all of my kids together, he decided to be a wizard, and we made Boo a witch to match. It was fun seeing all the little girls in their costumes too.
Getting ready to eat our witch's cauldrons.
*Chili in bread bowls with all the fixin's*

Finally the big hour came where they could go and trick or treat. We thought Boo would be too timid to do it, but she got the hang of it quick and loved all the chocolate that she got. We met up with some of our really good friends at Nana and Grandpa's house and had a great night. It helped that it was a totally warm, Friday night. Now all we need to do it get rid of all the candy we collected. Boo keeps coming up to all of us saying, MMMM! and pointing to her candy. Good thing the doctor declared her healthy before we collected so much junk. I'm not sure how well a diet of candy and milk would go over.
