The first weekend of the month, B was part of the reading kick off program at the library. This time it was a dinosaur theme, which she loves. She was able to do several activities and started off her reading for the summer. She earned her prize pretty quickly, since she loves to read.
B finished up her kindergarten year with an outdoor party. It was a little bit chilly, but she still had fun blowing bubbles and using sidewalk chalk. She took pictures with her favorite friends and her teachers. It turns out that she will have her same teacher and room next year, since her teacher moved up to 1st grade.
B got to go to cheer camp at the high school. She wanted to do poms, but they didn't have a camp. She had fun dancing and "flying", although it scared me to watch her jump from such a high height.

B went off to a baseball birthday party this month as well. She had fun, especially since she was the only girl invited!
M and E did strength and conditioning this summer as well. It is three times a week of weights and running drills. M had to do it for football, but E did it just to get in shape. It has been really good for both of them to be fit this summer.

E got her pictures taken for her senior yearbook. I can't believe that we needed to do that so soon, but that is how it works. She took this month to learn how to budget out her groceries, cook her own food, and take care of her cleaning and laundry. She did a great job and I feel a bit more comfortable with her being ready for college in a year. Now I just have to stop getting so emotional about her only having a year left.

M went off to the lake with his best friend S. He enjoyed tubing, swimming and hanging out for four days. He even got to fly home in their little plane. He loved it and is convinced that we need a place at the lake too.
We celebrated my Dad's birthday by going to the Rockies game. E sang the national anthem and since it was on my Dad's actual birthday, we treated him to the game. It was fun being outside in the warm night, and they won!
For T's Father's Day, he had a big breakfast and got some fun presents. One of which was a shovel to help him take out all the weed trees that have grown in our backyard.
They all started with one pretty tree that wasn't what we thought it was. It died and sprouted off these crazy weed trees with huge thorns. The elders came over and helped us pull out the root system, but these buggers keep coming back. We are going to poison their roots and hopefully this will be the end of them. Their is definitely an analogy about sin and the repentance process in these trees.

B lost her first tooth as well and was so excited! The tooth fairy brought her a sparkly five dollar bill for her sparkly first tooth. We had just come home from the dentist and none of the kids have cavities, so the tooth fairy is pretty excited.

T also won some new Nike sneakers so he could go running and get in shape. It was fun for him to pick out his $75 shoes that he would never have paid for.
