Saturday was our cub scout pinewood derby. TM is the cub master, so he was in charge of getting everything together. It went great!
LM decided to follow his theme of everything lately, "Lord of the Rings", and created a "Sting" car with the help of Dad, Mom, and Grandpa. It turned out pretty good. He won 'Most Creative Design", but it turns out that "Sting" is not as fast as the Abyssal Serpent, Fire Bolt, or Black Widow. LM was a little upset, but took an admirable 5th place. LM is all ready planning next year's car...a piano for mom. I told him that I didn't think pianos were very fast, but we could possibly go three for three on winning 'Creative Design' awards!
