We truly spent the Labor Day weekend laboring. We fixed up our house, finishing a lot of little things that we had put off. As part of our mission, we finally gave up on the tree we had planted for Boo in the spring. It just wasn't the year for trees, and unfortunately all of the new ones died. On the flip side, Home Depot has a one year warranty on all of their plants, so we pulled up the completely dead tree and exchanged it for a new one. Come to find out that the fall is the ideal time to plant trees in our part of the country. I thought that it would be fitting to show off all the kids with their trees. They are definitely growing as fast as their trees are, with LM's taking off in record time. Boo loved her tree (more than the other one) and kept pointing at it saying "Dada *planted* Baby's tree!". It is a double weeping cherry, that flowers white blossoms in the spring. That is the closest we could find to a white plum tree. It will make a neat spot where she can sit and think when both she and her tree are a little older. For me it just continually represents how fast my babies are growing up. They are all such beautiful trees, just like my kids!

Hopefully you're will stay alive. All of our trees seem to be struggling.
OK, let's try again.
Hopefully YOUR trees will stay alive

Brilliant idea Ginger and such a special gift to the kids. Bailee looks adorable showing off her tree.

All this does is remind me about how much landscaping we have to do.
