Our Easter celebration started on Friday night at Nana and Grandpa's house. We colored eggs and made chocolate peanut butter eggs. Boo wouldn't even touch the boiled eggs, but everyone else had fun.
On Saturday, we wanted to add a more Christ centered message to our Easter, so I made a very scaled down version of a passover. We talked about what the different foods meant, and how they related to Easter.
Sunday morning was full of egg hunts and Easter baskets. The kids had fun, and Boo took to finding her purple eggs like a duck to water. Gem and LM thought that she had it a little too easy, as they were searching hard for theirs. They found their baskets as well, and dove into all of the presents and goodies. Boo especially liked the little rabbit cheddar crackers that the Easter bunny left in her basket.
Later we went to church and TM, Gem and I sang in the choir while LM tried to keep Boo from running up onto the stand.
Finally we went to Nana and Grandpa's again to share Easter dinner with them and my sister G's family. Grandpa is a good nest hider, and the kids got to search all over for the fun prizes and treats.
Overall it was a wonderful weekend, full of family, food, fun, and a greater appreciation for what Christ sacrificed for us.
