Eggstravaganza

Yesterday was our neighborhood's annual egg hunt and Easter party, dubbed the 'Eggstravaganza'. Gem and I were given tasks since we were volunteering. Gem was running little kids up and down from the inflatable slide and doing crowd control (this was not supposed to be her job, but the two 'adults' who had been paid to run the ride decided that they would take a break that day!), while I was sitting at the sign up table for the Jello egg eating contest. I had to have people fill out waivers and sign up. I used my position to enter both TM and LM into their respective contests. Unfortunately they didn't win, but it was fun watching them! TM says he can still smell the whipped cream that got in his nose!

Boo had a blast with the egg hunt and all of the games. She even let us take her picture with the Easter Bunny. She collected a whole five eggs, but really enjoyed the ones she got. Go figure that she wanted only the purple ones! LM was able to participate in his age group egg hunt as well. He got enough eggs to share with Gem. He is such a good kid!

TM did a great job coordinating all of the kids, and still having fun. What a great way to kick off our Easter week!
