We went off to Utah to visit our family for the holiday weekend. Boo was able to meet her great grandma (mine) who turns 98 in two weeks. Boo didn't really warm to her at first, but by the third day would at least share her toys with her. She even gave her a little love as we said good bye.
We were able to go to a pioneer park with TM's brother's family on Saturday. Our kids enjoyed all the cool things you could do. The best part was playing with all of the cousins after at R's house. TM's sister lives there too, and she brought over her seven kiddos to join in the fun, as well as the brand new twins. It was a great day spent with family and remembering those who have gone before us.
On Sunday we went to see my grandpa's grave site and remember what a great man he was. He taught us so much about the value of work and education. Then the kids were able to play in a rousing tournament of "FLOG" with my cousins and the kids second cousins. That's golf spelled backwards in case you were wondering. LM actually made it into the final round, but lost one game to two. It was an absolute blast to see all of my cousins and their kids. It made us almost wish that we lived there, and the kids absolutely want to move!
Overall it was a weekend of fun with family and made us realize how blessed we are to live in such a wonderful country with the people that we love. We are grateful for all of those who are fighting to keep us safe so that we can have these fun care free days. Thank you!
