Posada

Last night we were invited to a Mexican Posada with some of our friends. We went to three houses dressed as shepherds. We followed a couple dressed as Mary and Joseph, carrying a lantern. At each house we sang a song in spanish. They turned us away until we got to the last house. At last they let us in. We ate amazing food and had a fun pinata for the kids. It was an incredible time and reminded us about what Christmas is really about: The birth of Jesus, family, and friends!LM was so funny with the pinata. They blinddfolded him and spun him around. He got so dizzy that he turned the wrong way and started swinging at the people on the sidelines! He finally got turned the right way and felt the garage door opener, thought it was the pinata, and started beating the crud out of it! When he actually hit the pinata he broke it open and the kids dove for the candy. I think all that baseball playing makes for good pinata, or garage door opener, hitting!
