Gingerbread

My parents have a wonderful tradition of making gingerbread houses with their grand kids. My mom makes up the houses for us and buys TONS of candy to decorate them with. We decided this year that we were going to split up the house instead of doing a theme. Everyone took a side, with Boo taking the roof. It turned out really cute, although very different. Gem's BFF got appendicitis the day before we made the house, so was in the hospital. She is our 'weekend daughter' and we wanted to do something for her. Nanna, Gem and I put together a little hospital house with S laying in front clutching her side. It had an ambulance, helicopter and was the cutest little house around. S just loved it and it made her laugh...not necessarily a good thing after surgery!
